Obituary of James Leak

LEAK, JAMES ELWYN Ocala - James Elwyn Leak, 70, died at his residence on Monday, April 27, 2009. He was born in Ocala and was a lifetime resident. He was a practicing attorney and a graduate of the University of Florida Law School and a graduate of Ocala High School, Class of 1956. He was elected County Judge in Marion County in 1968 and was a member of First Baptist Church of Ocala where he was a beloved Sunday School teacher, also. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Evelyn Leak. He is survived by his loving wife, Nina Leak of Ocala, his sons, James E. Leak, II and wife Karen of Tierra Verde, FL, his daughters, Jennifer Leak and Lisa Wallace, both of Atlanta, GA, Cynthia Moorman and Suzie Futch, both of Ocala and Sheri O'Neal of Nashville TN, his grandson, Thomas Futch and his granddaughters, Brooke Moorman and Jessie Madden and his sister, June Finn of Ocala. Graveside services will be on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd.
