Obituary of Sandra Parr

Sandra Mohl Parr (Rose), age 57, of Ocala, FL passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 after a 20-month bout with breast cancer. She was born in Omaha, NE on January 31, 1952 and was raised in Bancroft, NE. After graduating from Bancroft High School in 1970, Sandra attended the College of St. Mary's School of Nursing, Omaha, NE, to fulfill her dream of being an RN. She later graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Sandra specialized in Geriatric and Palliative Nursing where she touched the lives of countless people in need with her kindness and dedication. After moving to Florida in 1997, Sandra became Hospice certified and promoted to Manager of the Admissions Department for Hospice of Marion County. Her hobbies included dress making, gardening and interior decorating. Sandra was a Catholic and practiced her faith daily. She is survived by her husband of 10 wonderful years, Dennis Rose. She is also survived by daughters Linda and Amanda Mohl; sons Greg and Andrew Mohl; brothers Dan, Jim, Tom, Terry, Rick, Martin and Ron Marr; sisters Diane Leffler, Michelle Kelley and Cathy Kinder; father Bruce Marr; mother Joan Becker; grandchildren Sonora, Alyssa, Hunter, Gavin, Ian and Zachary; and 26 nieces and nephews. Sandra was predeceased by her brother David Marr. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2009, 5:00pm at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, May 16, from 4:00pm until the time of the service at 5:00pm.
