Obituary of John W. Tanner

Mr. John W. Tanner, Jr., 76, died, Friday, May, 15, 2009. Mr. Tanner was born in Detroit, MI and was a retired broker in the trucking industry. He moved to The Villages, FL from Dearborn Heights, MI in 1997. In The Villages he enjoyed Golf and going to Spanish Springs Town Square with his neighbors and family when they were in town. He was a member of the American Legion in Dearborn Heights and the F. O. E. in Dearborn and a Korean Conflict era US Army Veteran with the 82nd Airborne. He is survived by his daughter, Julie (Mark) Hajec of Dearborn, MI; three sons, Steven and Barney, both of Dearborn Heights, MI and Peter (Edna) of Las Vegas, NV; daughter-in-law, Beverly J. Tanner; sister, Nancy Johnson, of Dublin, OH and brother Edward Tanner of Allen Park, MI; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Ann M. and son John III
