Obituary of Herber Pfunder

PFUNDER, JR., HERBER B. (HERB) Silver Springs - Herber B. (Herb) Pfunder, Jr., 79, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Sylvia's Hospice House. He was born in Detroit, MI and moved here 20 years ago from San Diego, CA. He was a member of Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church, the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local No. 12 and the McCullough-Mixson V.F.W. Post No. 4209 of Ocala. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife Jeanne of Silver Springs, his daughters, Lisa Sawyer of Dauphin Island, AL and Karen Lutz of San Diego, CA, his sister, Jean Charles of NJ, his brother, John of MO, his grandchildren, Donny Wauschek, Jr., Melissa Brown, Kyle Maltagliati and Amy Maltagliati and his nine great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmy Snell officiating.
