Obituary of Eleanor Hill
Hill, Eleanor M. 75, Ocala, passed away on Sunday May 17, 2009 at Sylvia's
Hospice House. Born in Fairfield, Connecticut Mrs. Hill moved to Ocala from Connecticut in 1977.
She was a member of the Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church of Ocala, a Volunteer with the
Church without Walls, and a Chaplain for the Florida State Prison System. Eleanor was a beloved
Mother, Grandmother, Adoring Great Grandmother, and extraordinary friend. Her greatest joy in
life came from ministering to and helping others. She is survived by daughter, April (Gary)
Southall, Ocala, FL; sons, George R. Hill, Jr. Ocklawaha, FL, and Ray S. (Missy) Hill of
Summerfield, FL; seven grandchildren, and 1 great grandson. She is preceded in death by her
husband Ray Hill, Sr. A visitation and funeral will be held at the Cornerstone United Pentecostal
Church of Ocala, 3300 SW 66th Street, Ocala, FL 34476. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Wednesday,
May 20, 2009 and Services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 2 PM with Rev. C.P. Williams
officiating. Burial to follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions may be
made to the Church Building Fund. Arrangements be Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, Ocala,
Florida.
