Obituary of John Evans

John (Jack) W. Evans, 92, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Haddow Heights, NJ and Port Arthur, TX passed away peacefully on Friday, June 5, 2009 at TimberRidge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Evans was a retired Accountant with Texaco, Inc. in Westville, NJ and Port Arthur, TX. John enjoyed conversation, gardening, crossword puzzles, and cryptograms. Mr. Evans was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala; a member of the Lyons Club of OTOW; and a developer of the Support Group for Parkinson's of OTOW. Mr. Evans was predeceased by his loving wife, Alma T. Evans. He is survived by his son, Gerald W. Evans and wife Glenda of Brooksville, FL; Daughters, Barbara Priebs and husband Joseph of Egg Harbor Township, NJ; Claire Castles and husband Joseph of Houston, TX; Terri Diehl and husband Bob of Tomball, TX and Jane Parker of NY. Ten grandchildren and his devoted companion, Louise Harr, of Ocala.
