Obituary of Madeline Bronson

BRONSON, MADELEINE (LYNNE) BENGTSON Ocala - Madeleine (Lynne) Bengtson Bronson, 83, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at her residence. She was born on Philadelphia, PA and moved to Ocala in 1954 from Aberdeen, MD. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a founding member of Druid Hills United Methodist Church. She was past president of the Pioneer Garden Club, past president of the American Federation of Girl Scouts, a former Girl Scout Leader and a member of the Golden Hills Ladies Golf Association. She was an avid golfer and Bridge player and enjoyed flowers and sewing. She is survived by her daughters, Jean Pettit of Ponta Vedra Beach and Valorie Ellspermann of Ocala, her son, David C. Bengtson of Ocala and her nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Madeleine was preceded in death by her husbands, Hank Bengtson in 1997 and Frank Bronson in 2006, her son Bing Bengtson in 1990 and her brother, Albert V. Hallowell, Jr. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 19, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church. Arrangements by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County.
