Obituary of Carolyn Sime

Carolyn Sue Sime, 74, passed away at Legacy House in Ocala on June 16, 2009. Mrs. Sime was born in St. Louis, MO. Moved to New York City at an early age and was raised there until she moved to Florida in 1957, where she married John Sime. Their children were born in California. In 1973 they moved to Park Ridge, IL where she was a Loan Officer for 27 years and retired from Park Ridge Community Bank. They moved to Ocala in 2003, and she is a member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Mrs. Sime is survived by her loving husband, John T. Sime of Ocala; four daughters, Jacqueline L. Brooks of Dallas, TX, Kimberly A. Kurkowski of Des Plaines, IL, Theresa L. Calderisi of Rolling Meadows, IL, Noreen A. Gayford of Chicago, IL; one son, Thomas J. Sime of Plainfield, IL; one sister, Priscilla Hairston of Plantation, FL; and two brothers, Douglas Bisson of Nashville, TN and Randolph Bisson of Del Ray Beach, FL; and 18 grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 22, 2009 at 8:30 AM at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church, SR 200, Ocala with Father Patrick J. O'Doherty officiating. Inurnment will follow at 2:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Visitation will be Sunday, June 21, 2009 from 3 - 5 PM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
