Obituary of Earl Childress

Childress, Jr., Earl Wellington, 78 Earl Wellington Childress, Jr. passed peacefully from this life on June 17th, 2009 in Ocala, Florida. Mr. Childress was a Real Estate Broker and Owner of Homemark Properties of Richmond, Virginia from 1974-1993. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from The College of William & Mary and Master's Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Earl served in the United States Army. He enjoyed playing golf, reading, music and cooking. Mr. Childress retired to Ocala in 1997 where he was a member of the Golden Hills Golf & Turf Club. He was loved by family and friends and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Muller Childress of Ocala, a son Earl W. Childress, III of London, England, a sister Mary Ragland of Goochland, VA, a brother Carlisle Childress of Richmond, VA and two grandchildren Michael and Lucia Childress. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Hiers-Baxley Timber-Ridge Chapel, 9695 S.W. 110th Street, Ocala, FL with Chaplain Jack Cushman officiating.
