Obituary of David Michaels

David R. Michaels passed away on June 23, 2009 after a brief illness. David was born on July 6, 1949 in Washington, DC. David met Betsy Bomboy in 1988 while living in Fort Lauderdale, FL. They spent the next twenty-one years together moving to Ocala in 1992. David was a long haul truck driver before becoming a security guard, which was the job he truly loved. David had a great sense of humor, a big heart and never met a small child or an animal that didn't love him. David loved working nights, having coffee with his buddies, attending family get togethers and teasing anyone he cared about. He was preceded in death by his step-father Doctor E.E. Pierleoni, his sister Paddie Hawkins and his brother John Franklin. He is survived by his loving partner Betsy Bomboy, her son Will Bomboy (Ashley), mother Bessie Pierleoni, brothers Allen and Louis Pierleoni, sister Felicia Cordier (Dan), brother in law Bill Hawkins, Betsy's sister and sister in law Susan Gregory and Carlotta Clarke as well as many other friends and family who all will miss him deeply. A memorial service will be celebrated at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 1:00pm with Father Loring Chadwick officiating.
