Obituary of Susan Buchanan

Susan Dahl Buchanan, 70, of Ocala, FL passed away on June 24, 2009 from cancer. Her final days were spent at home with her family. She was born in Chicago, IL on December 31, 1938 and raised in Holland, MI and Fort Myers, FL. After her graduation from FSU she taught Home Economics in Immokalee, FL, where she met Archie N. Buchanan, whom she married in 1965. After stints in Chicago, Atlanta, and Houston, they retired to Ocala in 1996, living in Archie's childhood home, where she continued to enjoy being outside and working in the yard. She was a member of Christ Anglican Church, where she served on the altar guild and was a member of St. Brigid's. She is survived by her husband of 44 years; two children, John (Maria), of Kingwood, TX and Philip, of Sylva, NC. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Karen.
