Obituary of Harold Long

Harold Medscer Long, 89, passed away from complications due to Alzheimer’s disease at his home in Chiefland at 1:00 a.m. on July 13, 2009. Harold was born on March 3, 1920. He is survived by his wife Juanita Long, son Mark Long, daughter in law Annette Long, sister Ruth Kavouklis as well as numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing with the family on Friday July 17th from 5-7 pm at the Hiers Baxley Funeral Home in Chiefland, 1301 North Young Blvd. The funeral will be held on Saturday July 18th at 10:00 am at the Concord Baptist Church at 5551 NW County Road 336 in Chiefland. The services will be followed by a committal service at the Chiefland Cemetery. Brother Jamie Brock will perform the service.
