Obituary of Donald Pettipas

Donald M. Pettipas, age 79, of Ocala, FL passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 16, 2009. He was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada on November 10, 1929. He met and married Mary Henneberry and together they raised one daughter. The family moved to Syracuse, NY where Donald gained employment with The Syracuse Post Standard. He worked as a Printer in the Newspaper business for 48 years. Donald retired in 1991 and moved to Ocala in 1995 from Rochester, NY. He was a Roman Catholic and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Candler, FL. His hobbies included Locksmithing, golfing, fishing, bingo and playing cards. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Mary M. Pettipas; daughter Donna Wexler and her husband Craig of Catskill, NY; and three granddaughters Marissa, Lindsay and Katarina. A mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at 10:00am. The family will receive friends immediately following the mass in the church reception hall.
