Obituary of William B. Seward
Mr. William Berry Seward, 81, of The Villages passed away at his residence Saturday,
July 25, 2009. He was born in West Des Moines, Iowa and moved to The Villages from Houston,
Texas, 16 years ago. Mr. Seward was a reporter for the New York Hearld Times in New York City,
and worked in Public Reltions for DOW Chemical Company. He was a member of St. Timothy Catholic
Community, a U.S Army verteran of WWII, University of Iowa Alumni Club, Dela Vista East Club, and
the Columbia School of Journalism. He liked to travel and play bridge. He is survived by his
wife, Carol, 4 sons, William (Julie) Seward, Indianapolis, IN, Robert (Lisa) Seward, Houston, TX,
Peter (Jean) Seward, Winston-Salem, NC, Chris (Laurie) Seward, Cedarburg, WI., 5 daughters,
Martha (Tim) Adams, Grand Rapids, MI, Beckie Seward, Grand Rapids, MI, Nancy (Charles) Weigel,
Niwot, CO, Mary (Ron) Nelson, Moores Hill, IN, and Polly (Eric) Eoloff, St. Louis, MO, and 21
grandchildren, Bill, Jr., Becky, Matthew, Sarah, Courtney, Chris, Maria, Joy, Ryan, David, Renee,
Elizabeth, Stephen, Neil, Allie, Jill, Alex, Sally, Heidi, Ben and Josie.
