Obituary of William Boykin
BOYKIN, William Fielding Mr. William "Bill" Fielding Boykin, 75, of Inverness, died
Sunday, July 26, at the Hospice House of Citrus County in Lecanto. Born to Emmie and John Anthony
Boykin of Halcyondale, GA, he moved from Ocala to Inverness 9 years ago. Mr. Boykin retired from
the US Coast Guard where he was a Radio Encryption Specialist, and later worked for SEMCO in
Ocala as a bender operator. He was a Christian and a member of the VFW. Survivors include his
wife of 45 years, Shirley Boykin, daughters Peggy (Greg) D'Armand, Jacquline (Gilbert) Wiebe,
Kymberly (Michael) Young, Jennifer (Sedeek) Rahman, sons Tracy (Joseph) Boykin and Terry Boykin,
brother John Anthony Boykin, Jr., 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by his brother Lovett Ray Boykin. Visitation for Mr. Boykin will be 5-7 PM Wednesday, July
29, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. Funeral services will
be held at 10 AM Thursday at The Appleton Museum of Art Auditorium, 4333 E. Silver Springs Blvd,
Ocala. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2201 SE 30th Ave., #301, Ocala, FL
