Obituary of Reuben Guinn

GUINN, Reuben E. Mr. Reuben E. Guinn, 85, of Ocala, died Thursday, July 30, 2009, at Estelle's Hospice House. Mr. Guinn was a lifelong resident of Ocala, and for many years was the owner/operator of Guinn's Printing. Many people will remember him as a pitcher in the local fast pitch softball leagues in this area during the 1940's and '50's. He was also a member of Woodside Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Margaret Oliver Guinn, daughter Kathy Guinn (Bill) Park of Trenton, son Kent (Sandra) Guinn, Ocala, grandchildren Amy (Brent) Owens and Michael and Cameron Guinn, and his great grandson Noah Owens. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Monday, August 3, 2009 at Wyomina Park Baptist Church, 1411 NE 14th St., with Rev. Arthur L. Hoff officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM Sunday, August 2, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala.
