Obituary of Vito Motisi

MOTISI, Vito F. Mr. Vito F. Motisi, 79, of Ocala, died Monday, August 3, 2009 at Sylvia's Hospice House. A native of New York City, he moved to this area in 1998, coming here from Jupiter, FL. He was a former construction superintendent, and was an avid woodworker. A graduate of the New York School of Music, he was also a professional trumpet player. Mr. Motisi was a member of St. Jude Catholic Community where he served as a Minister of Hospitality. Survivors include Norma Motisi, his wife of 53 years, son Anthony (Janelle) Motisi, Hollywood, FL, daughters Laura (Glen) Frandsen of Tallahassee and Diane (Chip) Bonardi of Tequesta, FL, 8 grandchildren, and brother Anthony Motisi of Wisconsin. A funeral mass will be held at 8:00 AM on Monday, August 10, 2009 at St. Jude Catholic Community in Marion Oaks. A gathering of friends will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 PM on Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, TimberRidge, 9695 SW 110th St., Ocala. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County or St. Jude Children's Hospital, Memphis, TN.
