Obituary of William Clifford
William B. "Brent" Clifford, age 54, of Ocala, FL passed away on Wednesday, August 5,
2009. He was born in Ocala on August 31, 1954. He was raised in Ocala. Brent was drafted into the
US Army immediately after graduating from Ocala High School. He became a paratrooper and served
with the 82nd Airborne Rangers during the Vietnam Conflict. After his military service he
returned home and worked as a Painting Contractor until retiring due to an illness. He was a
member of First Baptist Church of Ocklawaha, FL. His hobbies included fishing, camping with
family and sitting under his Pecan tree on Sunday afternoons with his four girls. He is survived
by his wife of 32 years Cynthia L. Clifford; daughters Terresa Daniel, Amanda Clifford, Cassie
Clifford and Wendy Clifford; brother James Smith; sister Gouley Andrews; grandchildren Lacie,
William, Dale Jr, Taylor, Dennis and Lilliana. A visitation will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral
Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala on Monday, August 10, from 5-7pm. A funeral service
will be held at The Appleton Museum, 4333 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala on Tuesday, August 11 at
10am. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Ocala, FL.
