McCOY, EDWARD EUGENE Ft. McCoy - Edward Eugene McCoy, 63, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009 at Shands at the University of Florida. He was born in Lakeland and moved to Ft. McCoy four years ago. He was retired from over 32 years of service at International Minerals Co. and was a member of Lakeland Masonic Lodge and of the Baptist faith. He is survived by wife Brenda McCoy, Ft. McCoy, FL; father, Albin E. McCoy, Ft. McCoy, FL; son, Edward Alan McCoy, Lakeland, FL; daughters, Belinda McCoy Little, Mulberry, FL, and Pamela McCoy, Lakeland, FL; sister Beverly McCoy Wood, Ft. McCoy, FL; brother, Rodney A. McCoy, Ft. McCoy, FL; 9 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, August 15, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Ft. McCoy, 11350 E Hwy 316, Ft. McCoy, FL at 3:00 PM with Pastor Paul McCarthy officiating. A viewing will be one hour prior to service. Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services is handling arrangements.
