Obituary of Robert Edward Lies

Mr. Robert E. Lies, 81 of Summerfield, passed away August 22, 2009 at The Villages Regional Hospital. He was born in Wheaton, Ill., and moved to Summerfield from Merritt Island in 2006. He was a member of St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, and a retired truck driver for Teamster Local Union #705. Mr. Lies was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Navy. He is survived by his wife, Elaine, 5 daughters, Carol (Robert) Scott, Bloomingdale, Ill., Celine (Randy) Santeler, Las Vegas, Nev., Cynthia (Scott) Fiduccia, Merritt Island, Fl., Susan (Louis) Raciti, Merritt Island, Fl., and Karen (Mark) McCarthy, Wauconda, Ill., 1 son, Robert (Barbara) Lies, Popular Grove, Ill., a sister, Muriel McConnell, Mt. Vernon, Ill., 2 brothers, Leon (Linda) Lies, Green Valley, Az., and John (Clair) Lies, Des Plaines, Ill., 17 grandchildren, Kimberly, Elizabeth and Stacey Scott, Anthony, Thecla, Autumn, Samantha, Ursula Santeler,Leah Lies, Michael Fiduccia, Angela Gaines, Christopher, Bradley, and Wesley Kretschmer, Kristine, Jessica, Daniel Walsh,and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Lies, sisters, Geraldine Jingle and Patricia Hebert.
