Obituary of Frank Sheridan
SHERIDAN, Frank James, 85 Mr. Frank James Sheridan, Jr. 85, of Ocala, died August 22,
2009 at Legacy Hospice House in Ocala. Mr. Sheridan was born in Berlin, NH to Frank J. Sheridan,
Sr. and Mary (Dolan) Sheridan. Frank was a Navy veteran of World War II serving in the South
Pacific. Mr. Sheridan worked for the Brown Paper Company as a night superintendent and retired as
a quality control supervisor for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. Mr. Sheridan moved to the
Ocala area in 1989 from Sanford, ME. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and was a
third degree knight with the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid golfer and had two hole-in-ones
recorded. He also enjoyed fly fishing, deer hunting, and gardening. His greatest enjoyment was
his family. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Gisele J. Sheridan; daughters, Jean Skelskey
of Highland Park; IL; Susan Hansen of Southington, CT; Carol A. Brinson of Merrimack, NH; sons
Robert C. Sheridan of Simpsonville, SC; and James M. Sheridan of Woodstock, GA; sisters, Cecelia
Watson of Gorham, NH; Mary Cassidy, Berlin, NH; Marian Oleson of Berlin, NH; brothers, Robert M.
Sheridan and William Sheridan of Vernon, CT; 7 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 2 great-grandsons,
and 1 great-granddaughter. Mr. Sheridan was predeceased by his sons Craig Sheridan and Frank
Sheridan, III.
