Obituary of Joseph Halchak

Joseph Halchak, 84, passed away August 31, 2009 at Legacy House in Ocala. He was born in Braddock, PA to John & Mary (Labishok) Halchak. Mr. Halchak was Supervisor at U.S. Steel at Edgar Thompson Works and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the VFW Angela Santos Post 4781 and Moose Lodge 2356. Mr. Halchak leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years, Helen Halchak of Ocala, FL; four sons, Robert J. Halchak of Weaverville, NC, David S. Halchak of Bethel Park, PA, Kenneth L. Halchak of Cincinnati, OH, William J. Halchak of Williston, FL, one sister, Betty Macik of Monassas, VA, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by eight brothers and four sisters. A service will be held Friday, September 4, 2009 at 8:30 AM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, SR 200, Ocala with Father Alex Panakal officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, September 3, 2009 from 2 - 4:00 PM and 6 - 8:00 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services - TimberRidge, 9695 SW 110th St., Ocala.
