Obituary of James V. Mahon

James V. Mahon, 72, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at the Legacy Hospice House. Born in New York, he moved to Ocala in 1992. He worked as a supervisor for the United States Postal Service for 37 years. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Belleview. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus #8012 where he served as a past Grand Knight, and faithful navigator for #2062. He was the Post Commander of the VFW Post #354 (SW Hwy 200). He also worked for Bradley's Dept. Store in Connecticut. He is survived by his wife Marie Mahon of Ocala; sons Joseph and James Mahon of CT; step-sons Tony and Vic Paul Fortin of CT; daughter Barbaralee Breen of Melrose, FL; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
