Obituary of Sandra Smith

Sandra Lee Smith, age 67, of Ocala, FL passed away on Monday, September 14, 2009. She was born in Concord, NH on July 20, 1942. Sandra was raised in New Hampshire and lived there until moving to Florida in 1973. She worked for Sonny's BBQ for 30 years at the Hwy 200 location as Floor Supervisor. She loved gardening, nature, swimming, puzzles, reading and her beloved Cocker Spaniel Freckles. Sandra's greatest love was her husband, children and grandchildren. Sandra is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 40 years Robert Smith; son Stan Wheeler of Pensacola; son George Parent of Ocala; daughter Sonia Green of Ocala; sisters Linda Barlow, Pamela Hampton and Terrie Abbott; brother Steve Bennett; grandchildren Kevin, Kyle, Tyler, Courtney, Taylor, Nicole and Rachel. We all loved her with all of our hearts and she will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her father Lester Bennett, mother Mervene Bennett and sister Donna Ash. A funeral service will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 11:00am. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 24, 2009 from 10:00am until the time of the service at 11:00am. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Ocala.
