Obituary of Charles Archer

Charles L. Archer, Sr. , 84, passed away on Monday, Sept, 14, 2009. He was born in Anderson, SC and moved to Ocala in 1967 from Mobile, AL. He was retired from the U.S. Public Health Service and was a graduate of Clemson University. He was a member of Ft. King Presbyterian Church, the Silver Springs Amateur Radio Club and NARFE. He served his country as a Navy pilot during WWII in the Pacific. He was also a part-time engineer for radio station WTMC. He is survived by his wife, Ruby, his son, Larry and his adopted granddaughter.
