Obituary of Gunnar Nystrom

Gunnar Nystrom, 94, died Thursday, September 17, 2009. He was born in Stockholm, Sweden. He came here from Mount Sinai, NY He was a retired salesman from John Boyle Company, and a WWII veteran of the Army Air Force at the China Burma India Theater. He was a member of Villages Masonic Lodge 394, being a Mason for 62 years; he was part of the Shakespeare Club, Scandinavian Club, and life member of DAV. His hobbies include woodcarving, rug hooking, he was an avid reader, and enjoyed socializing. He is survived by his daughter Karin Reuther (Edward)of The Villages; 4 Grandchildren and 7â€" Great-grandchildren. A Visitation will be held 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, Sept. 21, 2009 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages. A Funeral Services is slated for 11:00 AM, Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009 at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery with military honors.
