Obituary of Robert Mescan

Robert J. Mescan Mr. Robert J. Mescan died on Wednesday September 23, 2009. Born in Swoyersville Pennsylvania, he moved to The Villages from York Pennsylvania in 1998. He was a high school special education teacher for 35 years. Mr. Mescan was member of St Timothy Catholic Church. His hobbies included all sports especially golf. He came to The Villages, 11 years ago, from York, PA. Mr. Mescan was in Company G, 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Lesley J. McNair United States Army post, Washington, DC as an Honor Guard and received the Guard Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He graduated Milton Hershey School in 1951 and Bloomsburg College, Bloomsburg, PA in 1959. Survivors include his wife, Irene A. Mescan; and 3 children; Larry Mescan, Fredericksburg Virginia; Linda Mescan Campbell, Denver, North Carolina; and Christopher Mescan from York, Pennsylvania; his granddaughter, and brother John B. Mescan from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
