Obituary of John Pluta

Mr. Pluta was born in Miami, and moved to The Villages, FL from Mercer Island, WA, in 2005. He retired from the US Air Force as a career fighter pilot stationed in Thailand, Germany and California. He spent 16 years with Boeing, in Seattle, WA designing system safety for the B1 and B2 Bombers. He realized his dream job as a yact broker for Grand Banks Yachts, prior to retirement to The Villages in 2005. He was a member of St. timothy Catholic Community, Lady Lake and the Knights of Columbus at St. Timothy. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling, boating, playing tennis and causing mischief. Survivors include his wife Judy; sons John, Washington, D.C., Doug, Apple Valley, CA; daughter, Christina Pluta, Minneapolis, MN and two grandchildren.
