Obituary of James Robert Brown

BROWN, JR., JAMES ROBERT Silver Springs - James Robert Brown, Jr., 50, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009 at home. He was born in Jacksonville and had lived most of his lifetime in Marion County. Mr. Brown worked for the City of Ocala for 23 years and was a Systems Tech II. He also served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a Baptist and was a former Assistant Scoutmaster for Boy Scouts of America and loved fishing. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Maynard Brown, his sons, Derek and Joshua Brown, his special daughter, Lori Pate, his sisters, Sondra Martin and Ginger Cranston and his brothers, Patrick and David Brown. Funeral services will be on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009 at 4:00 P.M. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala with Elder Harold Wyatt officiating. Burial will be in Millwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5-8 PM.
