Obituary of Guyneth Maines

Guyneth Virginia Maines, age 81, of Ocala, FL passed away on Friday, October 9, 2009. She was born in Midvale, OH on August 3, 1928. Guyneth was raised in Ft. Wayne, IN. She moved to Washington, DC and worked at a Satellite Communication Company which eventually became Lockheed Martin. In Washington, DC she met and married Howard Maines. They both retired in 1975 and lived on a boat for 2 years. They were married for 42 years until his passing in 2008. Guyneth was a Presbyterian. Her hobbies included golfing and socializing. She is survived by a step-son Don Maines of Ocala, FL; step-daughter Linda Downey of Ft Worth, TX; sister; Welthea Rule of Indiana; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 11:00am. Arrangements by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, Ocala, FL.
