Obituary of Francis Rafferty

RAFFERTY, Francis "Frank" J. Mr. Frank Rafferty, 68, of Ocala, died Saturday, October 10, 2009, at the Malcom T. Randall Veterans Hospital in Gainesville. A native of Liverpool, England, he moved to this area in 1983, coming here from Greenville, NY. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Viet Nam era. Frank was a machinist, having formerly worked for E-One. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Ocala. Survivors include his wife Marion, daughters Veronica Kelly, Hope Allen, and Megan Wood; brothers Jerry, John, Mike and Danny Brosnan, and 6 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, October 16, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Ocala, with Dr. Phillip E. Hanes and Rev. Jerry Easley officiating. Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL under the direction of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, Ocala. Visitation will be from 9:30 until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made in Frank's name to the Benevolence Fund of First Baptist Church, 2801 SE Maricamp Road, Ocala, FL 34471.
