Obituary of Larry Andrews

ANDREWS, LARRY E. 66 Ocala - Larry E. Andrews, 66, passed away unexpectedly October 17, 2009. He was born August 11, 1943, the son of Eugene C. Andrews and Marjorie M. Jones. Larry was a Vietnam Veteran, serving his country as a young man in the U.S. Army. He was a fifth-generation baker, venturing out from his family's business to a successful career with Publix Supermarkets where he was employed for many years as bakery manager and had recently retired. Larry was an avid, lifelong golfer who's final wish will be fulfilled and his ashes spread across St. Andrews, Scotland. He was a proud father, doting grandfather and wonderful husband who will be remembered dearly and missed greatly by so many. Gone too soon, Larry leaves behind his best friend and loving wife of 16 years, Atha Andrews; his children who were his pride and joy, Fred and wife Mary Andrews, NJ, and Renee and husband Joe Tushinski, Wisconsin; his mother Marjorie M. Jones, Ocala; two brothers, Raymond and wife Diane Andrews, Ocala, and Dwight and wife Pat Andrews, West Palm Beach, one sister, Patricia and husband Marvin Hay, Ocala; three step children, Reba Sherrets, Ocala, Wanda and husband Rob Normoyle, Stuart, and Ron and wife Trina Sherrets, Ocala; a precious granddaughter, Katelynne; two step granddaughters and six step grandsons. Larry was predeceased by his father, Eugene C. Andrews and his step father Robert Jones.
