Obituary of Dorothy Sartori

Dorothy M. “Dottie” Sartori, age 77, of Ocala, FL (OTOW) passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2009. She was born in New York City, NY on June 14, 1932. She met and married Joseph D. Sartori and together they made a home in Hicksville, LI where they raised two children. Dottie was a homemaker and also worked as a supervisor for Glendale Optical Co. in Long Island. She was very active at On Top Of The World with club membership. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Her survivors include a daughter Rosanne Sartori of Schenectady, NY; son Joseph A. Sartori of Hicksville, LI; brother Anthony Casabona of Palm Coast, FL; 2 grandchildren Laura Palmese and Mary Ellen Durkin; 3 great grandchildren Audri Schuff, Liam Durkin and Evelyn Rose Durkin; several dear friends at OTOW. She was pre deceased by her husband Joseph who passed away in 2006. A visitation will take place at Hiers â€" Baxley Funeral Services, Timber Ridge, Ocala on Sunday from 10am until 1pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Ocala on Monday at 1:45pm. Interment will take place in New York.
