Obituary of Priscilla Saxe

Priscilla J. "Sam" Saxe, age 68, of Ocala, FL passed away on Friday, October 23, 2009. She was born in Kingston, NY on February 12, 1941. She was raised in New York and attended Albany Medical Center School of Nursing and then completed her education at Molloy College where she received a B.S.N. She worked at Mercy Hospital in Rockville Center, NY as Assistant Director of Nursing, subsequently moving to Florida where she worked at Ocala Regional Medical Center as the Emergency Department Director. Sam was a Protestant. Her hobbies included reading, playing the piano and guitar, and watching movies. She is survived by a son Daniel Saxe and his wife Missy O'Sullivan of West Islip, NY; son Michael J. Saxe and his wife Anna of Ocala (originally from New York); best friend Judie McGinnes and one grandchild Joshua. She is pre deceased by her brother Richard Carnright and her mother Jeanne Faerber. The family will receive friends at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL on Monday, October 26, 2009, from 6:00 - 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 851 Outer Road, Orlando, FL 32814 in memory of Priscilla J. "Sam" Saxe.
