Obituary of Lester Robinson

ROBINSON, Lester S. Lester S. Robinson, a resident of Chambrel at Pinecastle, died on October 31. He was 89. Mr. Robinson was born in New Jersey and relocated to Florida in December 2003, having retired in 1981 after 45 years in the banking industry. He served in World War II with the 593rd amphibian engineer corps in the Southern Pacific theater. He is survived by his daughters, Commissioner Barbara Fitos, of Ocala, and Eileen R. Ferrara (James), of Annandale, Virginia; his grandson, Joseph R. Fitos (Marah), of Windermere, Florida, and three great-grandchildren, Jackson Paul, Kaelynn Rose and Payton Grace. His wife of 48 years, Rose A. Robinson, predeceased him in 1997. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 5 SE 17th Street, Ocala, with Father Pat Sheedy officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 Monday evening at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, with a prayer service at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Marion County, PO Box 4860, Ocala, Florida 34478.
