Obituary of Teresa Penna

Mrs. Teresa Elena Penna, 95, of Ocala, passed peacefully on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Legacy Hospice House. A native of Kingston, Jamaica, she moved to Ocala in 2000, coming here from Canada. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed traveling, and was a very accomplished dress designer and seamstress. Mrs. Penna was Roman Catholic. She is survived by her daughters Pamela E. Haig, Ocala, and Karlene A. Frey, Canada, her son H. Paul Thomas, Albany, NY, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. Visitation for Mrs. Penna will be held from 5-8 PM on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 9695 SW 110th Street, Ocala. A Funeral Mass will be held at 8:30 AM on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 5 SE 17th Street, Ocala, with Father Pat Sheedy officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum, Ocala.
