Obituary of Samuel Bryant

Samuel Bryant, age 82, of Ocala, FL passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2009. He was born in Macil, Mississippi on September 29, 1927. He was raised in Maryland. Samuel served during WWII in the Merchant Marines. After serving with the Merchant Marines he returned to the states, married his wife of 64 years Betty R. Bryant and together they raised two children. They both graduated from Faith Emmanuel Bible Institute in Pennsylvania. He was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church in Ocala. Samuel and Betty moved to Ocala (Oak Run) in 1995. He is survived by his wife Betty R. Bryant; son Timothy D. Bryant of Zion, PA; son David J. Bryant of Austin, PA; 4 sisters; 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A visitation will take place at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 9695 SW 110th Street, Ocala, FL on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 2:00pm. Interment with military honors will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 11:00am.
