Obituary of Geraldine Gilbert

Belleview - Geraldine Gilbert, 70, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the Tuscany Hospice House. Born in Miami and moved to Belleview in 1980. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children Charlotte Richard of Summerfield; John Slocomb of Pembroke Pines; Bonnie Kester of Summerfield, Sharon Whitney of Homestead, Mary Erhardt of Belleview, and Brenda Kaplan of Charlotte, NC; brother Harry Parker of Gainesville, FL; sisters Jewel Hayes of Atlanta, Ga, Jackie Slocomb of Miami, FL; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter J. Gilbert. A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 5649 SE Robinson Road. A visitation will be held from 4 - 6 PM on Monday, November 9, 2009 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral ceremony at Florida National Cemetery.
