Obituary of Russel G. Corbin
Russel G. Corbin, 88, died on November 21, 2009 in the Villages. He moved to The
Villages from Rochester, MI in 1998. He was a member of the US Naval Reserves, Landing Signal
Officer on USS Hancock, 25 years in the Navy Reserve, retired as Lt. Commander. He was a graduate
of University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical Engineering. He was an
engineer of General Motors as a Design Group Supervisor, retired after 36 years. He was a member
of St. Timothy Community Catholic Church. His hobbies included woodworking, photography, drawing
and painting. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Corbin of The Villages; daughter, Christine
Adlfinger of The Villages, Fl.; sons, Michael Corbin of Rochester Hills, MI, Keith Corbin of
Oxford, MI, Kevin Corbin of Leonard, MI, Stephen Corbin of Weirsdale, FL; sister, Marilyn Lesner
of Traverse City, MI; 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
