Obituary of George Thomas

THOMAS, JR., GEORGE B. Ocala - George B. Thomas, Jr., 89, passed away on Nov. 23, 2009 under the loving care of Superior Residences and Marion County Hospice. He was born in Johnstown, PA and moved to Miami in 1958, before moving to Ocala in 1973. He was the laboratory director at Ocala Regional Medical Center and retired in 1985. His hobbies included tennis, bowling, jogging, dancing and doing crossword puzzles. He loved listening to music. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Thomas of Ocala and Karen Vehrs(Matthew) of Belleview, grandchildren, LSSR(SU) Christopher T. Lindsey of Groton, CT, Courtney Lindsey of Virginia Beach, VA, his sister, Dolly Schnell of Johnstown, PA and brother, Dean Thomas (Vivian) of Johnstown, PA.
