Obituary of Clare M. Furey

Clare M. Furey, 83 of Chiefland, died Dec. 1, 2009 at Ayres Health and Rehab in Trenton. Born in Pittsburgh, PA she moved from St. Petersburg to this area about 13 years ago. She was a retired bank teller for South East Bank. She was a member of VFW Post # 5625 in Chiefland, the American Legion of Old Town and the Moose Lodge of Fanning Springs. Mrs. Furey enjoyed music, cooking, entertaining and taking care of others. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Jim Frankland of Seminole, FL, son, Calvin Cherry of CA, grandchildren Jason & Joshua Frankland, Jeffrey & Matthew Cherry, and great grandchildren Jeffrey & Madison Cherry and Zoe Frankland. She is preceded in death by her husband, Nicholson W. Furey in 2001. Memorial Services will be Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services - Chiefland.
