Obituary of Erline Weaver

Erline Weaver, age 90, of Citra, FL passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. She was born in Butler County, Alabama on February 23, 1919. She met and married Alvin Weaver. They moved to Citra in 1940 and together they raised two children. Erline worked at the Crosby Wartman Packing Co. packaging citrus for worldwide shipping. She also worked for the Silver Springs Grove Packing House. Later in life she was a cook for the Marion County School System and also Chicken King Restaurant. Her hobbies included cooking, quilting, sewing and gardening. Mrs. Weaver has been a member of Citra Baptist Church since the mid 1940's. She is survived by her daughter Dorothy Grantham of Citra; brother Ralph Wayne Campbell; grandchildren David Grantham, Richard Grantham, Douglas Grantham, Jason Weaver and Kevin Weaver; and 11 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL on Sunday, December 6, 2009 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. A funeral service will also be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 2:00pm. Interment will take place at Citra Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
