Obituary of Frank R. Gammardella

GAMMARDELLA, Frank R., age 84, of The Villages, FL. passed away December 9, 2009. He was born in Providence, RI. A veteran of the US Navy, serving during WW II. He was a retired professor and administrator, with Suffolk Community College, Suffolk, LI, NY for 30 years. Frank came to The Villages from Ft. Meyers, FL in 2004. He was a member St. Timothy Catholic Community, a member of American Legion Post #347, Lady Lake, the Irish-American Club, and the Celtic Club. He enjoyed classical music, reading, bowling and golf. He enjoyed attending musical concerts. Survivors include wife Margaret “Peg” Gammardella, The Villages, FL; three step-daughters Maureen Kazelesky, Iselin, NJ; Peggy Cardinale, Graham, NC; Diane Schmaler, Cossayuna, NY; brother, Ralph Gammardella, Putnam, CT; sister Rose McDavitt, Danielson, CT, seven step grandchildren and twelve step great-grandchildren.
