Obituary of Violet Ward

Violet A. Ward 93 of Chiefland passed away Dec. 11, 2009 at E.T. York Hospice House in Gainesville. Born in Trenton, FL., she has been in this area all her life. She was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Chiefland and enjoyed teaching Sunday School. She worked for Levy County School system as a school teacher for 32 years. She enjoyed reading and flowers. She is survived by her sons Jim Ward of Starke, Winston Ward of Chiefland, her daughter , Sue Smith of Gainesville, sister Audrey Farquharson, and brother, Lum Junior Arrington both of Trenton 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren She is preceded in death by her brothers Ercelle and Clyde Arrington Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Chiefland with Dr. Ed Johnson officiating with burial following at Pine Grove Cemetery in Trenton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
