Obituary of Nell Hammond

HAMMOND, NELL PRINE Ocala - Nell Prine Hammond, 73, passed away of Friday, Dec. 18, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Fellowship and was a lifetime resident of Marion County. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and was a legal secretary for Todd A. Hopson Law firm. She was an avid Florida Gator and Miami Dolphins fan. She is survived by her daughter, Denise (Buddy) Moorman of Ocala, her sons, Barry (Nita) Chappell of Lexington, NC, Doug Chappell of Lynchburg, VA and John McLeod of Springfield, OH, her sisters, Maxine D. Ferguson of Ocala and Freida Worsham of Inverness, her grandchildren, Douglas Chappell and Allyson Carter and twin grandsons, Shane Chandler Prine McLeod and Bryce Stephen Kelley McLeod and great granddaughter, Kayli Marie Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward I. Hammond, Sr. in April 2004. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009 at 6:00 P.M. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala with Rev. Bill Johnson officiating.
