Obituary of Maryland White

Maryland White, 83 of Trenton, passed away Dec. 21, 2009 at Haven Hospice of the Tri Counties in Chiefland. Mr. White was born in Jackson County, AL and came to this area from Plant City, FL in 2003. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII, was a retired ironworker and was a member of the Local Union 397. He enjoyed his family and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Frances Gnarl White, of Trenton, daughters, Frances Carol White of Lakeland, FL, Kelli Cassandra (Tom) McGraw of Melbourne Beach, FL., sons Daryl Lee White of Trenton and Garland Randolf White of Old Town, sisters Mabel Musselwhite of Dover, FL., Lizi Belle Stephens of Jacksonville, Fl and brother Vernon Gene White of GA., 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Maryland Eugene White and siblings Johnny White, Estelle White, Curtis White, and Verland White. Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services- Chiefland. Visitation will Wed, Dec. 23 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009 at Plant City Memorial Park in Plant City at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mr. White's memory to Haven Hospice of the Tri Counties, 311 NE 9th St. Chiefland, FL 32626.
