Obituary of Violet O'Day

Violet M. O'Day, 91, passed away December 27, 2009 at Munroe Regional Medical Center. Violet was born in Worcester, MA to James and Gladys (Bergstrom) Gilbride. She was a retired teacher. Mrs. O'Day moved from Hilton Head, SC to Florida in 2000. Violet was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Church in Crystal River, FL. She enjoyed playing bridge and was an avid golfer. Mrs. O'Day leaves behind one son, James Hall of West Chester, PA; one daughter, Jean Pratt of Grayling, MI; four grandsons, Jon and Christopher Hall of Oakland, CA, Jeffrey Hall, Jr. of Sandy Hook, VA, Jeremy Hall of Hilton Head, SC; two granddaughters, Susan Porter of San Francisco, CA, Katherine Porter, of Denver, CO; and three great grandchildren. Violet is predeceased by her husband, Howard O'Day and two sons, Jon Hall and Jeffrey Hall. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
