Obituary of Bernard Crippen

CRIPPEN, Bernard H. Mr. Bernard H. Crippen, 87, of Ocala, died Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at Tuscany Hospice House. A native of Toledo, Ohio, he moved to this area in 1975, coming here from Hillsdale, Michigan. Mr. Crippen was retired as Chief Financial Officer of E-One, and was involved in the CBI Veteran's Organization. He proudly served his country in WWII in the US Army Air Corps. He was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. Survivors include his sons Larry Crippen, Ocala, and Tom Crippen, Lancaster, PA, daughters Terri Paris, The Villages, Cathy Holland, Orlando, and Tippy Craggs, Ocala, brother William Crippen, Toledo, Ohio, sister Margaret Crippen, Toledo, Ohio, 18 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Rosemary, his daughter Margaret Lape, and brothers Norbert and Cyril. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, January 4, 2010, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 5 SE 17th Street, Ocala, with Father Pat Sheedy officiating. The family will receive friends from 9-10 at the Church. Interment will follow in Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Trinity Catholic Church or Hospice of Marion County. Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, is handling arrangements.
