Obituary of Evelyn Van
VAN, EVELYN JUNE Ocala â€" Evelyn June Van, 93, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010.
She was born in Detroit, MI and moved to Ocala from West Palm Beach. She was member of Heritage
Baptist Church of Ocala. She taught Sunday School at Fort Street Presbyterian Church in Detroit
in the 1940’s. She was a secretary and had worked for Ford Motor Co., Haslett Law Firm and
Century 21 Real Estate. She enjoyed hymns and playing the piano. She is survived by her children,
Karen Hackett Alonso of Ft. McCoy and Vern Hackett of Wildomar, CA, her granddaughters, Lynne
Nolan of Covington, LA, Nicole Todaro of Mandeville, LA and Jennifer Alonso of Shreveport, LA,
her niece, Ellen Vanderlin Gragjevi of Grand Rapids, MI and her nephew, James E. Vanderlin, II of
Denver, CO. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Gordon V. Hackett, her sister, Eleanor
Vanderlin Morgan and her brothers, Vern Hackett and James E. Vanderlin.
