Obituary of Harry Connor

Harry P. Connor, age 85, of Ocala, FL passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2010. He was born in Hamburg, NJ on January 7, 1925. He was raised in Hamburg and left after joining the US Navy where he served during WWII. After his military service he returned to Hamburg and eventually moved to Clifton, NJ. Harry worked as an Electronics Technician Foreman at Singer - Kearfott Corp. in Clifton for 35 years. His hobbies included fishing and attending concerts at Silver Springs Attraction. He moved to Florida from Clifton in 1988. He is survived by his wife of 9 years Maria Connor; daughter Gail (John) Messier of Cedar Grove, NJ; daughter Linda Volpe of Clifton, NJ; step son Charles Smith of Zanesville, OH; step daughter Sally King of Ormond Beach, FL; step daughter Daris White of Amarillo, TX; step daughter Dee Snyder of Zanesville, OH; brother Merrill Connor of Ruby, SC; sister Margaret Kelly of Newton, NJ; sister Shirley Nagle of Port Richie, FL; nephew Gary Connor of Virginia; special step daughter Kathy (Scott) Goldberger; several nieces and nephews;16 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many good friends. A memorial service will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 4:00 P.M.
